We are finally moving forward

Can you hear the sound of the Halleluiah Chorus in the background? After five long months of gathering information and estimates, handling insurance paperwork and meetings, hours and hours of poring over reports and proposals… and meetings…

WE ARE FINALLY MOVING FORWARD!!

In our service on October 22, we held our worship service on the grounds of the church, thanked the trees for their years of shade and beauty, and dismantled our beautiful prayer garden. We named our grief and our gratitude for the years that this place has ministered to the community around it. We shared a blessing to welcome in the new form in which this ministry will continue.

This week, two large pine trees on the west side and all the landscape shrubs and trees on the south and east were removed by AZ Tree Professionals.

Next week, the shoring up of the 3 sanctuary stone walls will begin. When the shoring is complete, we will do asbestos abatement and demolition of the parts that need it, including the roof and the floor of the sanctuary. After that is all done, we will proceed with the plan to rebuild our church, with the inclusions of the three standing stone walls and the bell tower. We do not yet know the exact and final plan. It will probably not be an exact replica, but we have hopes that it will be close, with some improvements and updates!

Chances are that the Fellowship Hall can be restored and accessed before the sanctuary is completed.

We are excited to be working with Bleuwave General Contracting as we move forward.

Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!

And thank you to everyone who keeps supporting us in this challenge!
